Cool AF Shropshire Wedding with 7 ideas to personalise your own ceremony.

There is something magical about allowing people the space to create the ceremony which really feels right for them. And there are ceremonies which take up residence in your heart, that make you beam when you recall little details from them. These moments happen when the little details included really mean something to people involved.  R&A created an EPIC weekend wedding celebration in which every thing included was chosen with intention to represent them…..the result….an absolutley BANGING ceremony!

This cool AF wedding ceremony in Shropshire was Rebecca and Aidy through and through. They got in touch with me over instagram and we had our intro call while I was out in Southern Spain living in my camper for winter. I knew right away that together we would create a boss ceremony for them…this is one of the best things about getting and celebrant or friend to lead your ceremony, the freedom to have someone you chose and trust standing up there with you holding that space, leading you and your best people through the ceremony.

We held the planning meeting in their welcoming home and I felt like part of the family by the time I left. Cups of tea, local snacks and the whole family involved in planning.

R+A really centered themselves in the planning of their whole wedding weekend and within the ceremony.

They brought their full raw selves, and the ceremony allowed for the most gorgeous little window into their lives.

7 ideas from this cool af Shropshire wedding that you can use to personalise your own ceremony:

1. Wedding rings made by your bestie that you don’t see until they’re presented to you in the ceremony

2. An ancestor table including photos of important people who are no longer with us, or letters written by important people to you on your wedding day.

3. A table showing photos of you and cards given to each other over the years.

4. Hand fasting using ancient words chosen because it brings in the Pagan side of you, and a cord for ever member of the family.

5. Surprise words from a friend mid ceremony that bring everyone to tears (including me!).

6. Venue decorated by you and your pals using hand made dried flowers and re-usable bits and bobs from the venue.

7. Personal vows that are raw, beautiful and have everyone in tears again!

And a cheeky number 8…..mid ceremony toast using your fave tipple!

R & A, I’ll forever be your professional 3rd wheel <3
