THE CEREMONY
A celebrant led ceremony is unlike a registrar led wedding, the possibilities are endless and it is way more personal and fun! The focus is on you two, your love and your story.
No multiple choice vow options, no template, no 20 min time slot, it will be crafted Just. For. You. Oh! And you get to choose your celebrant, finding someone who gets you, who you get on with and who can create you the perfect ceremony for YOU!
I will guide you through the stages of putting together your ceremony, the only rule is that there are no rules! Some people prefer to keep a more traditional layout, involving vows, ring exchange and readings. However there is so much choice – we can include other symbolic acts such as hand-fasting (or ‘tying the knot’), sand-blending, sharing a drink from the quaich…..or we can create something just for you!
Want all your guests to take a shot while you say your vows – no problem! Want to lead everyone out the venue in a conga-line? Absolutely. Game of bingo mid ceremony? Hell yeah! Want to have your dog involved? I’m 100% game for this.
No templates. The possibilities are endless!
MY BELIEFS
I believe that this is the one life we get to live, and I try to live this life to the full. I find happiness and meaning through the relationships I build, and being in nature. I believe in love, and being good to one another, and finding the joy and ceremony in the every day. I strongly believe in equality and strive to understand other people’s experiences of the world with curiosity. I’m working on my anti-racism journey and strive to be an ally. I’m a bisexual cis woman in a straight facing relationship. If you’ve got any questions or just want to chat get in touch!
MY TRAINING
I completed wedding and joining ceremony training and was accredited by Humanists UK. This means I have attended extensive training, I maintain my education with regular CPD via the wonderful Celebrant’s Collective and am peer reviewed to maintain my accreditation. I have full Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance.
As part of my nurse education I completed courses in advanced communication skills and am an experienced palliative care nurse meaning I am highly educated to chat well, and to deal with any tricky issues that may come up on the big day. I’ll always have your back!
CHOOSING A CELEBRANT
It’s important that you ‘click’ with your chosen celebrant. So, usually I will meet up with you in person or online (depending where you live!), we can have a brew, cake or a bev and see if you think we are a good fit.
IS IT LEGAL?
At the moment celebrant led ceremonies are not legally recognised in England or Wales. But please don’t let this put you off! You can get the ‘paper work’ (as I like to call it) sorted at a register office for £57, this can be done on the same day as your ceremony or anytime before or after!
For couples who choose a celebrant led ceremony, this is viewed as their ‘real’ ceremony, the register office legalities are seen as just that – admin.

HOW MUCH DO YOU COST?
To write and perform your totally one off UK wedding ceremony starts from just £800 (full quote depends on day & venue location). I am extremely portable and happy to travel to where ever you want!
MY PACKAGE INCLUDES:
Free initial chat (30-45 mins) get to know each other, ask any questions you have and to see if I am the right celebrant for you
Then we meet up for an extensive planning meeting to get to know you, your story and what is important to you. Homework for you to take away (don’t worry it is fun!)
Ongoing meetings or video chats to make sure your script is bob on
Guidance with vow writing if needed
Personally crafted ceremony script
Ongoing edits of script to ensure it is just perfect
Rehearsal in the venue if needed
Keepsake ceremony script
WHY WORK WITH ME?
One of the best things about having a celebrant-led wedding is that you get to choose who you work with!
Meaning on the big day you have someone who feels like an old friend by your side.
I believe it’s important to choose a celebrant who is right for you, someone who makes you feel safe and comfortable, someone who can be your sidekick, your advocate, someone you can chat to easily, and alongside this someone who can craft your perfect ceremony.
To slightly misquote the mighty Scroobius pip - I may not be for everyone, and that’s ok! There are millions of different kinds of people out there, so it makes sense that there are loads of different kinds of celebrants!

I love humans, and our love for ritual and ceremony. I celebrate people’s individuality and differences. If we meet and I think I know a celebrant who would suit you better than me I never hesitate to pass on the recommendation. I also LOVE animals and so if you live with an animal and introduce me over zoom or in real life I’ll know we’re kindred spirits!
I LOVE people. I am genuinely interested in people’s life stories. I find it easy to get along with almost everyone, I naturally put people at ease and I approach every person with an open mind and heart. I have training in advanced communication skills, so I’m a boss listener! I’m an empathetic communicator, I will deeply listen to your stories and your wishes for your ceremony.
I am 100% me. I am happy go lucky, see the joy in the little things. I can celebrate anything from a good cup to tea, to a ceremony for 160 people!
I am committed to influencing positive change. I’m driven by my personal values, and my couples tend to be the same way. Outside of weddings (in my other life as a nurse) I’m passionate about improving end-of-life care, carrying out research and teaching in this field. I am training as a funeral celebrant and connected with the positive death movement, and progressive funeral movement. I aim to be non-judgmental, self aware and inclusive.

You’re after something a little less traditional, something full of love, of fun and maybe a little bit of sentimentality.
You don’t want any old random to conduct your ceremony, you want someone who feel like a friend by your side, leading a carefully considered and lovingly prepared ceremony.

Those who don’t want to get involved in the process of ceremony, if you want an ‘off the shelf ceremony’ - then this deffo isn’t for you.

About 3 months before your ceremony we will get together for our first proper meeting. I’ll really get to know you, your story and we will explore what you want from your ceremony.
Then I’ll get to work on your script, we will keep in touch and make changes to this to ensure it is absolutely perfect.
On the big day, I’ll be there nice and early, make sure everyone is ready and support you all to stay calm. Then deliver your ceremony in style.
